SWEDEN AP -- A narcissistic teenager using the name Kent Kisse has reportedly been posting obnoxious comments to the discussion board of Swedish website Sourze.se for several years. As one fellow forum member told AP on Tuesday, "Kent Kisse has no patience for in-depth discussions and will regularly try to derail exchanges between other participants by hurling seemingly random insults at them". According to noted Harvard child psychologist Dan Kindlon, Internet hecklers like Kent Kisse suffer from "an irresistable urge" to post inflammatory comments on the web. Kindlon claims the behavior is fuelled by the posters need for validation. "This kid is desperate for attention. He is looking for a response. ANY response, and he will bait the forum with insults, complaints, and provocative tidbits hoping that someone - ANYONE - will take the bait".

Far from being unique, Kindlon said Kent Kisses behavior is part of a global phenomenon where socially or otherwise inept individuals craft online personas as an outlet for their real-life frustrations. Despite the risk of eventually "dumbing down the entire Internet", professor Kindlon sees a silver lining to the ever increasing numbers of youths who bring their angers and frustrations online. "No matter how pathetic and annoying he may be, a million more Kent Kisses is still preferable to another Seung-Hui Cho."

It really shows what a pathetic individual this person is, who hides behind a screen name and writes bad things about others." "We are blessed to be living in an age when we have a global communications network in which dumbasses like myself can come together and echange views in an unmonitored and unfettered online environment," Kisse told reporters. "And I can conceive of no better way to utilize this amazing technology than to log onto the Internet to hijack discussions and insult complete strangers at random." According to media critic Robert Carver, this type of behavior is not uncommon among idiots. "Kent Kisses posts in particular contain a degree of unoriginality only observable in the most imbecilic and muttonheaded posters," Carver said. "In fact, never before have I seen anyone produce such a consistent flow of unbelievably inane and repetitive bullshit. Suffice it to say, Kent Kisse is a truly stupid, stupid idiot."
