I cant choose my surroundings, but my own living experience tells me that I can choose what to do with it, and the more responsible I choose to be, the more influence I can have on the final outcome of my life.

Doing that however takes strength, and as a determinist I have the problem that I assume that theres no such strength to start with. Therefore, from a philosophical and scientific point of view determinism is a dubious perspective, and from a living perspective its a very impractical one.

Answer to 20: Ok, I can almost agree with that one. Though personally I didnt find any free will supporters who dont wrestle with the question to what extent we are able to exercise our free will.

Nej, jag lever inte heller som om
allt var förutbestämt. Fast kanske
lite enligt Alan Watts filosofi om
"reversed effort". "The Wisdom of
Insecurity" var en av mina stora
filosofiska läsupplevelser. Men så
kanske jag inte är så framgångsrik
socialt som du. Fel filosofisk grund-
hållning kanske.

Pastor Kyreus kanske i sin tur
kan glädja sig åt att jag dagligen
ber till Gud i Jesu namn och att
jag ibland tycker mig bönhörd.
Augustinus, Luther och Calvin var
dock determinister de också.
