…but also especially! during the ‘down’s’ of a relationship. And the fact that so many couples break up after a while is – again according to me – more often than not a sign of their lack of willpower or self-knowledge?, choosing for quick and easy fixes rather than taking up the more difficult but ultimately more rewarding ‘labour of love’.

Anyway, you might want to read The Art of Loving Karlekens Konst by Erich Fromm. He’s got lots of interesting things to say about the subject. …or Antoine de Saint Exupery’s ‘Little Prince’, for that matter. It’s a children’s book, but his encounter with the fox is still one of my favourites when it comes to understanding what love is all about.
