Nothing to add to your text, by the way. I couldnt have put it better. Though Im aware that its still a long way to go before I myself can really walk my talk... Increasing self-knowledge and loving oneself as one is is certainly a step in the direction, as hard to take as it may be.

One additional thought that came up: jealousy feels more like fleeing towards an illusionary safety. Theres also non-commitment, or fleeing away from as an alternative illusion. The irony there is that some may believe that this non-commitment is actual freedom.
