The Associated Press recognizes and apologizes for its defamation of the "distinguished feline" in question. As you are apparently aware, a journalist previously on our payroll posted a derogatory comment about Garfield the Cat on his MySpace a few weeks ago, remarking that a cartoon about a cat that eats "just isnt funny" and that it is "beyond him how the f#¤ such unfunny c#&¤ could become the worlds most widely syndicated comic strip?!" While his opinionated ramblings were not nearly as embarassing to read as, say, those of notoriously stupid idiot Kent Kisse Pussy, we are deeply ashamed. It is our responsibility never to inject opinion in what we report but rather to strive toward 100 impartiality and objectivity at all times as good examples we direct you to our reports on the previously mentioned Kent Kisse. The Garfield episode was a momentary lapse in professionalism, for which you have our most sincere apologies.
