My own conclusion based on the work of some philosophical and scientific books Ive read is that we very likely arent in the position to find a complete answer, and whether we do have a free will or dont remains a matter of faith left to the individual. I cant prove that I have free will, but I can live according to it, and that gives me a much more pro-active and less fatalistic way of living than an outlook on life based on the idea that Im doomed to whatever I do.
