I don’t think you’re choosing a smart approach by letting your happiness and well-being depend on others’ opinion about your looks. It may be personal, but the girls I really felt attracted to i.e. not the ‘crushes at first sight’ that in my case usually ended in disappointments once I got to know the girl in question better were the girls who ‘had something’, no matter what their looks were.
