The mistake you make – according to me – is to think that being in love is love itself. Being in love is a biological reaction that you cannot control, which can be a wonderful way of beginning a love relationship, but isn’t what love is all about. The love that lasts for a lifetime is in essence an act of will, of perceiving the uniqueness and value of a person and wanting to contribute to his/her growth and happiness.
