Lots of nonsense, according to me. More often than not especially on larger scales trade occurs through socially constructed systems based on agreements with which those who actually implement trade do not necessarily agree with. Ask a Tanzanian small-scale farmer selling his coffee at ludicrously low world-market prices whether he agrees with the system, to start with.
